October and things are looking autumnal – so some autumn leaves to start.

2. Medlar leaves – no fruit on it at all this year.

4. And finally a success – well if you can call three pears successful!

6. And finally this week elderberries, which grow wild in our local hedgerows and they are having a good year, with plenty fruit.

I was hoping to make syrup – but it is raining today and wont get to pick any. The syrup is good for colds

Lots of rich fall colors here! I think I need to examine our chokeberry at daylight for signs of this beautiful hue.

They always have such good colour – but the leaves fall quickly, so we only get a short time to enjoy it:)
