I used to have a bit of a fascination for old abandoned buildings, of which there are quite a few in the rural areas of Ireland. Here an old cottage.
Here an old shed, possibly still used for some sort of agricultural storage.
And another; the door frame remains but there isn’t much left of the building itself.
There is a certainly melancholy about these places, a history lost and forgotten.
Thank you to Syvia at My Colorful Expressions for hosting this week’s Lens artist challenge –
I have been missing out on Six and Saturday the last while. Life is busy and Saturday’s are equally so. But here are my six for this week. The wildflower meadow is just getting going.
Lots of blues and purples in the garden – like this iris
iris with bumblebee
Sage is looking good.
As is the lavender.
And for a change of colour – how about a pink geranium?
And finally this week an aquilegia seed head.
