I will be helping to run a pollinator workshop in Castlebar, Co Mayo on the 21st February. This FREE workshop (funded by Mayo County Council, Heritage Office) is ideal for community groups, graveyard committees, Tidy town groups and anyone interested in pollinators. Please book your place as detailed below.
This is an indoor workshop only and will focus on introducing Irish pollinators and the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan with emphasis on community actions. We will look at how simple actions can bring positive results for our local pollinator populations.
Good luck. I have just completed my garden bird watch count for the rspb

Thank you! Excellent that you did you bird count for the RSPB. The one we do for Birdwatch Ireland involves weekly total counts from Dec till the end of Feb so we are still doing that.

Good on you! I hope it becomes so popular that you have to hire a marquee and have it erected on the local sports field!!

This sounds a great initiative, I hope all goes well, just read your reply about the bird watch, this seems a much better way than how we do it here. Do you have to pay for that – we have the BTO running similar long counts but there is a joint fee.

No we don’t have to pay to do ours. Citizen science!
