Happy New Year

It’s a mild, wet and windy New Year’s Day but we’ve had a couple of very frosty days on Sunday and Monday, with temperatures barely creeping above freezing even during the day. Great opportunity to get out and take some photographs. Thank you for reading my blog over the last 9 months. Wishing you all a very Happy New Year and all things good for 2015.

Thank you and Happy New Year Robbie. We’re having a mild and wet winter so far but it could change at any moment!

I must have missed this one! It’s like ice jewellery. What is the plant growing on the wood in the bottom right picture. Another Happy New Year to you all where you are.

That’s a moss – a bryophyte. I find them hard to identify to species but this one could be what they call ‘Ordinary Moss’ – I know poor moss could get a complex having a name like that!
