Mid October and nearly Halloween. Below my squash and pumpkin harvest this year.
The continuing relatively mild weather means that late flowering cosmos are still providing some good colour.
Meanwhile the sweet chestnuts are getting ripe.
Once again the choke berry leaves are putting on a wonderful autumn display.
Some lovely rosehips on the dog rose.
And will this be (sorry somewhat blurred) the final bumblebee this year?
Thanks to The Propagator for hosting Six on Saturday.
You still have beauties in your garden – love cosmos. And the little pollinators, still there! I found one inside an aster, cold and still. Waiting for the odd glimpse of sun.

I was surprised to see the bee today. It is gradually getting cold and food for the bees is hard to find now

It is, tough times ahead.

There’s nothing more autumnal than chestnuts, although the chokeberry are a glorious sight too.

I just wish the leaves on the chokeberry would stay a bit longer

A wonderful garden walk. Love the colours of the rose hips and the last fuzzy bee. 😀😀
