Lens-Artists Challenge #147 – Gardens

One of my favourite places to be is in gardens – if I am not in my own garden, I love to explore other people’s gardens. Gardening allows me to switch off, relax and become engrossed in my own little world. If I did not have to work for a living I think I would happily spend all my day pottering in the garden.

The garden is not just the flowers.

But also the wildlife the garden attracts.

And the fresh food it produces.

I can spend hours in my tiny garden, one thing like weeding leads to another like cutting something back or moving a plant, dead-heading, repotting! I am amazed at where the time goes.

I know exactly what you mean – I go out with one job in mind and end up doing something else – there are always jobs to do:)

Gardens are therapeutic, relaxing, challenging and are precious places for those of us fortunate to have them. I would do a lot more in our garden if only we had water to sustain the plants I would love to plant. This makes it all the more pleasurable to glimpse gardens such as yours!

Thank you Anne. I am sure water is a big challenge where you are. Sometimes we have too much water!
