So Tina from Travels and Trifles has set the first Lens Artist challenge this year of looking back at some favourites photographs from 2020. It is always hard to pick one or two, so here are a selection.
On a walk early in the year we saw this handsome fellow.
Throughout the year, we have been enjoying the friendship of Robin – friend. Here a photograph from early spring, in his favourite apple tree, it’s leaves just bursting.
An hour spent taking raindrop photographs was fun – this was the one I was most pleased with.
I just liked the light in this image.
You can never have enough flower images.
Or bees for that matter, but this one got a few comments because it reminded me of Winnie the Pooh getting his head stuck in the honey pot.
As well as garden plants and insects, I have also enjoyed capturing images of our garden birds this year too.
A big thank you to all the Len-Artists for their inspiring challenges in 2020, I look forward to this year’s too.
Excellent bird photography – so much to love! The blue tit has got a twinkle in the eye – great shot and light!

And we look forward to having you with us Karina! Loved your little birds in this post – although it looks like Robin is bursting as much as the apple tree LOL. Lovely images of the flowers too. Wishing you a healthy and happy 2021

I especially love the robin in the apple tree bursting into life. If you don’t mind sharing the info, what camera do you use to take these lovely photos?

So glad you like them. The camera is an Olympus pen camera, sometimes with a 40-150 mm lens

The robin and the blue tit are stunning, but I love the bee who is getting properly stuck in!

All beautiful photographs and I thought my favourite would be the robin – until I saw the bumblebee. Amelia

Thank you. While the robin is well fed, the bee must have been hungry:)

Thank you – we are lucky as we can get real close and have lots of opportunity to photograph the robin as it is not shy at all.

An excellent selection. I love the smutty-nosed cow and the bee bottom. Lovely to see the bird pictures too. I only ever get blurs whenever I try.

Birds are not easy I agree – I don’t think I would managed without the bird feeders being close by!

Tried to make a comment a few days ago but technology was not on my side. Your subjects are all beautiful but Mr Robin is my favourite as I know he has a special place in your family!
