Here in Ireland, we find ourselves in lockdown again. So we have to stay within 5km of our homes. So for this week’s lens artist challenge it was a case of heading back over the year’s photos and seeing what types of treats there were.
Seeing and being able to photograph wildlife is always a treat for me.
These are incredible images MM – my favorite is the grasshopper. Amazing how closely he resembles the leaf, isn’t it?!

It is – I rescued him from the water butt (no idea how he managed to hop into it), and he was sitting there recovering and I took the opportunity to get a photo.

I love the way the way the background out of focus so our eye is immediately drawn to the beauty of the insect. I must dust off my camera and stop using my mobile.

I do love the flexibility of the camera, but sometimes the mobile is all you got handy:)

Lovely photos. Nature is my treat as well, although I don’t object to tea and dark chocolate as often as possible too. 🙂 I used my camera for my photos for this challenge, but the phone can take marvelous shots as well. I carry mine all the time just for that purpose and a majority of photos on my blog, until recently, tended to be from the phone.

We usually have a pair in the garden. They are lovely birds but they are a bit too fond of nibbling newly emerging apple blossom

The color and lighting in your first shot is great! Glad I was able to visit Ireland last winter before the lockdown. Sorry it’s happening again.

Wonderful pictures all. Fascinating to see the knapweed up close. Clever bumblebee to negotiate it..

Yes, bumblebees are rather partial to knapweed
