In the west of Ireland, we have no shortage of farm animals. Among my favourite are the poultry. Especially chickens. I could watch them all day, they are such characters. This is Junior. He is very handsome.
This is Junior’s father and some of the hens. We can’t let Junior and his father be too near each other because they fight, and every morning there is a competition to see who can crow the loudest.
Just down through the fields this is our neighbour’s donkey.
Our other neighbours farm cattle and deer.

Handsome gentlemen! Or maybe not gentlemen then…but definitely handsome.

Handsome roosters! I love living in a rural area with lots of farms and animals to view. I’ve never heard of deer farming. Most deer here are wild and hunted in the fall.

Deer farmers are definitely a minority, it is not very common, but there are a few around.

What beautiful cockerels Junior junior and Junior senior are! The plumage colours are so rich and vibrant. And lovely donkey and cows; you can’t beat such animals for simply lovely pictures. And the photographer is pretty good too..
