Wishing everyone a lovely Spring Equinox.
I hope more spring like temperatures will follow. There is the odd bumblebee flying through the garden, but things really need to warm up a bit for them. There is no point planting any seeds outside as night time temperatures are still falling below freezing, though I am trying some salad crop in the greenhouse. Fingers crossed they will grow!
Great photo. Happy Equinox!

Those beautiful contrasting colours again! Happy Spring Equinox to you also. We saw a bumble at the window last weekend when we had the mild weather. Woke up this morning to a layer of thick white frost everywhere; the poor plants look quite beaten.

It’s similar weather here. Flowers, bees and frogs are all trying to get on with living/gowing but it is a battle against the elements at the moment.

Lovely photo!
I’m hoping for Spring-like weather too!
The sunshine is bright and welcoming, but still a nip in the air. Still, the snow has taken a break, and that’s a good thing for now.
Happy Spring Equinox.

I did seeds in propigators yesterday, and put them in one of those Aldi greenhouses. I brought them all in last night, anyway. Thankfully monster kitty left them alone!

Just in from a bit of diggig in the veg plot – I need to start more things inside, so that when it is finally time to plant things out they will get a head start!

Ooo, I’m excited now! We had a spare outdoor temperature monitor, so I’ve put that in the greenhouse so I can see if it is warmer than the house! It went up to 23 this morning before the rain brought it back down to 12. Also opening it just long enough to load in four trays dropped the temperature over a full degree. This is fun!

I’m actually in tears now – left the house for 10 minutes and the wind that wasn’t there arrived and the whole greenhouse is flat on its zipper face. I can’t even get in it to save anything that might be salvageable. Tried to take it apart and a plastic bit broke in my hand. Heartbroken.

Ohh no, that is awful. It happened to me before. with one of those mini-greenhouses that collapsed and everything went everywhere. Hope you can save something.

Such a picture – that light! The colour & texture of the grass makes me think of wind blowing the coats of Highland cattle.
