This week’s one a week challenge is “orderly“. I am not an orderly person so finding an orderly photo wasn’t that easy. But lupins are probably one of the most orderly flowers in my garden, particularly before the flowers open fully. And they are also loved by bees.
You are right, nice orderly lines of petals. My lupins are having a second flush right now.

Only a couple of mine had a second flush – I think they haven’t liked the damp August and September we’ve had!

Very jealous of your lovely lupins! We don’t have any success growing them here at all so have given up trying!

I think the slugs like them – mine are surrounded by gravel and once they get going they are okay!

I’ve collected seed from it this year to try and get some more!

I have tried to grow them in my garden but failed. They get eaten!!

Yes, slugs and snails love them! I have mine surrounded by gravel – I think that helps.

Yes, I have fed many slugs over the years. I once planted some marigolds and came out the next day to find just stalks in the ground!

Geometric indeed and beautiful colours. Must grow some next year.

Easy to grow and you can start them off now from seed.

I never thought of them that way until you said so. Yes, they do look orderly!

The blue fence sets the flowers off perfectly.

The fence badly needs a new coat of paint! But that may be a spring time job as it has been a wet autumn here.
