As children we were always encouraged to make our own cards for sending at Christmas and for birthdays. I have followed the tradition and encourage my own children to do the same. Here are two recent cards they have made. There is something special about getting a handmade card.

That’s another great thing about digital camera is that you can send the card off but still have a photo of what it looked like!

When my mother passed on, I got the job of going through her things. I was ever so happy to find cards that my sister and I had made for her, and she had kept for nearly 30 years. While you can’t keep everything, some things are worth it. š

Treasures indeed. I now keep special pictures done by my granddaughters just as I did with my daughters. You can’t beat it.
