This old farm building is waiting for mother nature to reclaim it. Each year the trees around it grow bigger and it disappears a bit more.

So sad. Yesterday we were in west Yorkshire, and there were lots of old barns slowly tumbling down.

They have a charm of their own don’t they. I think people in the UK are much better at restoring old buildings than we are here.

It’s lovely – wish I could build around some of these old walls and make them part of a more efficient home.

Gorgeous monochrome. It looks like the farmhouse has surrendered.

The cottage is long gone – it’s just these old stone stables that remain. It would be a lot of work to restore them.

In real life I might well feel wistful about the building but black and white seems to give it a bit of dignity. Lovely composition.

Thank you Jane. The image was originally in colour but I agree changing it to monochrome added something.
