Miniature World

A couple of weeks ago the kids decided they would create their own little miniature fairy worlds. With just a little bit of help from me and a whole lot of their own imagination they set to work.

My daughter was adamant that only fairies and elves would be allowed – no pixies. It was wonderful to see how much enjoyment could be got from a few logs, flowers and twigs.

My sister has a little grotto at the end of her garden! Proving you are never too old (or that she is completely bonkers!). Great fun and why the ban on pixies?! Hilarious xx

You’re never too old! I think she see’s pixies are being “bold” – perhaps the fault of Enid Blyton Amelia Jame stories!

As I explained to Miranda below we love reading the Amelia Jane books by Enid Blyton – and in those stories the pixies are a bit naughty – I think that may be the reason!

Must show these pictures to the granddaughters – how captivating. Don’t remember the Amelia Jane stories so will find for the little ones & me. One of my students was surprised when I said that Tom’s Midnight Garden was one of my favourite books….
