Maybe if we all just stopped occasionally and took time to look around us, we’d see what an amazing place our mother Earth is. Maybe we’d appreciate it just a little bit more. Maybe even enough to care just a little bit more. Maybe if we could love nature just a little bit more, we could also learn to love ourselves and others a little bit more too. Maybe we could find a bit of harmony. Just maybe.
Beautiful shots, and “Hear, hear!” to your words.

bythebriny took the words right out of my mouth! GMTA, eh? š I think these thoughts often myself. I can’t help but think that the disconnect from nature is the source of many of humankind’s problems. ‘Plug in, tune out.’

Lovely lines Cathy. I had to look them up and found that they belong to William Henry Davies. One to print out and stick by my computer I think! Thank you.

Yes, and if the megalomaniacs, terrorists & those bent on sheer destruction, cruelty, petty selfishness and the like, focussed instead on the magnificence of even Nature’s tiniest detail, they might begin to understand what life is really all about. And all it takes is a simple picture..

Nature keeps me grounded (pun intended) for sure. It surprises me to no end how some cannot see how wondrous the small things are.

Thank you Melissa – you are too kind. I use an Olympus PEN. Way back in times of manual cameras I had an olympus 10 which I loved. Then digital came and they were great. But it wasn’t till I got the olympus PEN digital that I really started taking more photos again. I just love it.
