Actual no, the wind was a bit cool but otherwise quite mild – there was this huge black cloud hovering over Croagh Patrick – the mountain in the background:)
After a while, I noticed the blue sky on the right of the photo and I wonder which way the sky went – did it clear or cloud over. It would make quite a difference to the looming image of the mountain in profile. Thoughtful picture.
We could see the sun shining all around us Jane – but we remained in the shadow of the cloud and mountain – though at one point the sun came through in a shaft of light which looked amazing but my photo of it doesn’t do it justice!
Wonderful evocative image – so apt for this Remembrance Sunday when we should all take some time to silently contemplate the sacrifice of so many.
