Autumn days may be bright and colourful but they are often dull and grey. Days are short nights are long and I find myself longing of spring. Sometimes though these grey days make me look at the world in a different way. In a grey world devoid of colour you can see things differently.
It was dark before 5.30p.m here today and a bit of shock as I’m not ready ready for long evenings yet. Your photos are lovely, especially the last one.

Thank you Julie – it’s getting dark here too between 5.30 and 6pm. Even the kids are finding it hard to get use to staying in in the evening:)

Love the shadows in your b&w photos! Yes the darker days are here, time for candles and blazing fires, cosy and quiet, or winds howling around the house like last night…. but time flies and it’s good to hibernate a little 🙂

Yes, I do like the idea of hibernating a little:)

Beautiful. I won’t be longing for spring until January. Have not gotten to wear my corduroy, wool, and leather nearly enough yet 😉 Though it does get dark very early already, it seems to happen all of a suddenly.

I don’t know if there’s anyone who is totally colour-blind but it’s a thought to ponder that some people see the natural world quite differently. I wonder if they capture more fine detail as your pictures do.

Many animals too see the world totally differently to the way we do depending on the type of eyes they have – so yes what we see is only our interpretation of the world:)
