The weather for October is unseasonably mild and sunny. Misty mornings are leaving plants covered in a fine dusting of dew.
All around the garden leaves are turning red and orange.
Nuts and apples are ripening, and even the autumn raspberries which weren’t looking very promising early in the season are coming into their own with the mild sunny weather.
And the last flowers of the summer are hanging on. So there is much to be grateful for.
Love the dew-kissed flowers esp. the borage – wow!

Took a couple of shots to get it right! The hairy stems and flowers just perfect for picking up the dew drops!

What a great collection of photgraphs. I especially love photographs with dew drops though some of them look like ice crystals to me. Is it cold where you are?

Thank you – not really cold yet – we’re having a little grass frost in the mornings on this nice clear days, but still about 14 degrees Cecilius during the day

How to be happy in October – just look at these pictures. Borage is spectacular & your picture of the Cosmos flowers is very pleasing as I saw them at a country house and couldn’t remember the name to get the seeds. Hurrah!

And the borage is a great bee favourite – just another reason to have it in your garden:)
